Clearly out of Tottenham Hotspur’s plans for the season, Japhet Tanganga could get a chance to move to Italy.
That’s today said by journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who brings some updates on the 24-year-old’s future.
It’s claimed that as Torino look for a replacement for Alessandro Buongiorno, they are now ‘working’ to get Tanganga signed from Tottenham.
Di Marzio says the Serie A side first thought of the player and then chose a formula to get him signed on loan with an option to buy.
The parties are said to be ‘talking’ about it, and there’s no word on whether Tottenham are on board with that kind of operation.
Tanganga only made seven appearances for Spurs last season, and as he’s still to be used by Ange Postecoglou, it’s no surprise the club will look to offload him this summer.
Now it should all depend on whether the terms offered by Torino are good enough to convince Tottenham. The defender has a contract with the London side until 2025, and is valued by Transfermarkt at €7m.
