Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez could be on his way back to Mexico this summer, according to reports.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola writes that Club America will ‘try to guarantee’ the signing of the 32-year-old this summer.

It’s pointed out that Jimenez hasn’t been getting any playing time at Wolves, and the Mexican club will take advantage of the situation by asking the Molineux side to get rid of the player.

Since the striker still has one year left on his contract with the Premier League club, they’re not forced to let him go right now.

The report adds that Turkish side Besiktas are also in the race for the player, although it’s not made clear whether they’d pay for the transfer or also try a free deal.

Never getting his great form back since his head injury, Jimenez only has 18 appearances for Wolves this season, with three goals scored, all of them in the EFL Cup.

His return to America is seen as a dream for the Mexican side, and the player many times teased with his comeback as well, despite not promising it’d happen anytime soon.
