Feyenoord ‘will very shortly submit (their) first’ offer for Tottenham forward Bryan Gil, with a deal seen as ‘difficult, but not impossible’.
That’s according to 1908.nl, who say the Dutch champions want Gil on loan until the end of the season.
They report that Eredivisie holders will shortly submit their first loan deal to Tottenham for the Spaniard, who has only played a bit-part role under Ange Postecoglou this season.
They’re hoping that they can convince Gil to make another temporary exit from Tottenham, having spent loan spells with Valencia and Sevilla since joining Spurs in a €25m deal in July 2021.
Neither of those moves were made permanent and it would likely be the same for Feyenoord, who are not expected to try and get a purchase option included in any deal.
They face competition from Fiorentina for Gil’s signature according to reports in Italy, but 1908.nl report that Feyenoord have ‘opened concrete discussions’ with the player to try and win the race.
A deal is seen as difficult, although why isn’t made clear at this point (likely because of wages), but doable and they’re certainly making an effort to get him regardless.
