On July 21st, we covered claims made by Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg that Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the picture for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim’s Stefan Posch.
He had also explained the defender, who has a market in the Premier League, would cost around €10m this summer.
A day later, Kicker backed up Plettenberg’s claim of Wolves keeping tabs on the 25-year-old.
The Austria international has two years left on his contract, but can change clubs in the coming weeks.
A new report from Kicker explains the German club are ready to allow the centre-back to join Wolves as long as certain conditions are met.
His asking price is €10m, which is €2m more than they paid to Austrian side Admira Wacker Amateure in 2016. If the Premier League club can pay this amount, then Posch’s move to Wolves will go through this summer.
In the event Hoffenheim end up selling the Austrian to Wolves, then they will have to buy a replacement in the same window.
“We will certainly continue to have our eyes and ears open,” Hoffenheim manager Andre Breitenreiter said on this topic.
Posch made 28 league appearances, which includes 26 starts, for Hoffenheim last season.
