In the approach to the summer transfer window there was endless talk in Italy about Juventus interest in taking Moise Kean back to the club. He wasn’t having a great time at Everton, and it was felt like a deal was there to be done.
However, Juventus wanted a loan without an obligation to buy, looking to pass all the risk to the Toffees and keep the upsides of the gamble. This type of deal was considered out of the question for Everton, so Juventus stepped away… only to then see PSG get the exact kind of transfer they had themselves hoped for.
Kean has been a quick success in Paris, with repeated plaudits being sent the striker’s way. There’s a good possibility PSG will look for a permanent transfer, yet Calciomercato state they’ll have competition.
It’s explained Juventus want to get over their ‘regret’ of failing to secure the player, and will therefore make an attempt to sign him next summer. Calciomercato believe a lot will depend on what the player himself wants, and the price Everton ask.
Given there’s a potential battle between Juventus and PSG, Everton won’t feel they have to give any discounts out.
