Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin could receive a new attacker before the winter market closes today.
At the weekend, claims from the UK said the Dons have set their sights on Royal Charleroi SC player Oday Dabbagh.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has now taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the latest on Aberdeen’s pursuit of the striker.
The Scottish Premiership side are working on trying to sign the 26-year-old on a loan deal with an option to buy. The journalist makes no mention of the fee needed for Aberdeen to make his stay permanent.
He states the Jupiler Pro League club ‘will finalise’ the frontman’s sale to Jimmy Thelin’s side. At this moment in time, the two clubs haven’t found ‘total agreement’ for the frontman’s loan transfer.
There seems to be optimism at Royal Charleroi as the journalist claims they intend to find a replacement for Dabbagh via a loan deal with a buying option.
Dabbagh arrived at Royal Charleroi from FC Arouca in July 2023 and has a contract lasting until 2026. He managed six goals and three assists from 29 games last season and a goal from 15 matches this season.
