PSG have been working for a year to try and find a way out for Neymar, report Sport.

Luis Campos, an advisor to the French side, has been trying to conjure up formulas which make a departure possible.

It doesn’t sound like he’s been having a whole lot of joy, and his latest brainwave involves Manchester City.

Sport report Campos wants to offer Neymar to Pep Guardiola’s side in exchange for Bernardo Silva. No money would change hands and it would be a direct swap.

This may well suit Campos, and Bernardo is a player who has long been said to interest PSG, but there’s bigger questions over whether it would interest Manchester City.

The Premier League champions certainly don’t need Neymar, and wouldn’t want to pay his €30m a year salary. Even if the Brazilian agreed to a drastic wage cut, there’s the likelihood that City wouldn’t want the drama he can bring.

In addition to that, the 31-year-old has had repeated injuries in recent years, currently out of action after surgery on his ankle.

Luis Campos would have a lot of convincing to do.
