Inter Milan are working hard to jump ahead of Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest to Marseille winger Luis Henrique this summer.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who back up reports from France yesterday that Inter are pushing ahead to sign the Brazilian winger.

Corriere explain that while the playing squad are focused on trying to win a treble, working is already underway to strengthen it for next season and the Club World Cup in mid-June.

Inter are competing in that and so have ben granted an additional transfer window in the first ten days of the same month. That is something they intend to take advantage of.

They’re already secured Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb and now want to get Luis Henrique ahead of the competition too. Bayern Munich, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are the main rivals in the chase for him.

Getting ahead means ‘burning’ the competition and that will require a bid exceeding €30m for the winger. Inter are happy to pay but will need to use bonuses to get to such a figure.

Fortunately, they have an excellent relationship with Marseille and Henrique has already ‘given his availability’ so that has given Inter a big advantage over their rivals in Newcastle, Nottingham and Munich.
