With Pep Guardiola stating that Eric Garcia has chosen to leave Manchester City, a big part of the European press now wonders where the player will go next.
There’s of course something coming from Italy, where Calcio Mercato writes that Juventus are interested in signing the defender, but may not be able to compete for him.
The Serie A giants are said to have been in touch with Garcia’s entourage ‘for months’ now, gathering information about their chances of landing him.
Garcia isn’t keen on making the move to Italy. The 19-year-old has an offer from Barcelona on the table, and wants to return to his old club.
For that to happen, the clubs must reach an agreement, which they’re far away from right now. Calcio Mercato says Barcelona are offering €10m, while Manchester City demand €20m.
Even though that could be seen as a chance for Juventus to sneak in, the outlet claims it’s a very hard task for the Old Lady to compete for this signing.
