The possibility of Lucas Torreira returning to Italy has been a hot topic in the Italian media for the past few days.

The player has admitted he doesn’t like being left out of Arsenal starting eleven, and that helps the rumours regarding his future to grow.

Calcio Mercato brings some information on the situation, claiming that both Fiorentina and Milan would like to take the midfielder to Serie A.

Regarding La Viola, it’s said the club have been in ‘direct contact’ with Torreira’s entourage, and plan to offer him a four-year contract worth €2.5m per season. Only after an agreement with the player, they’d try to reach a deal with Arsenal.

Even though Milan are also admirers of Torreira’s qualities, they haven’t made any new contacts for the signing lately. That’s why Fiorentina are still considered the main candidates to land the Uruguayan international.

Calcio Mercato claims that Arsenal wouldn’t like to lose the midfielder this summer, and doesn’t say how much the Gunners would demand for a transfer. Torreira has a contract with the club running until 2023.
