For the past few days, reports in Turkey have said Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura has emerged as a target for Fenerbahçe
The Yellow Canaries can make further additions to their squad since the transfer window in Turkey has been extended until March 5th.
On Tuesday, Sabah reported the Turkish club are ‘accelerating’ to sign the Tottenham player immediately.
Haber Global now provides more details on Fenerbahçe’s ongoing pursuit of the Brazilian, who has been restricted to 270 minutes of action from 11 matches in all competitions this season for Spurs.
His deal expires in June and the report states this gives the Istanbul club an upper hand when negotiating with Antonio Conte’s side.
Fenerbahçe will meet and negotiate a deal with the north London club to sign the 30-year-old, as he would fit into their manager, Jorge Jesus’ plans, at the club.
In order to try to secure Moura’s services, Fenerbahçe are ‘preparing to make an offer’ of around €2m, which is a very different line to what Sabah had, who claimed Spurs would be ready to let him leave for free.
It would make sense for Tottenham to at least get some money for the player ahead of his contract, and therefore a small amount, such as €2m, could be enough to convince Daniel Levy and co.
