Beşiktaş have identified Norwich City’s Christos Tzolis as one of their main targets for the next window, according to Sabah.
The winger has been on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf since last summer and has excelled for them this season. He’s scored 20 goals and registered eight assists from 32 games for the second division German club.
Beşiktaş have taken notice of the Norwich City owned player’s impressive performances in Germany and are keen on adding him to their squad next season.
The Turkish club are currently fifth in the table, a point behind İstanbul Başakşehir. They need to finish in the top four to make it to Europe next season, and the finances will be crucial for their summer window.
For the attack, the Greece international is Beşiktaş’ priority target, and it will be difficult for them to acquire his signature even with the funds from a UEFA competition.
Sabah state the Norwich City man is also admired by several other clubs, but make no mention of the details of those teams.
The report says the Black Eagles therefore have a low chance of signing Tzolis, indicating that other interested parties would be ahead of them in the transfer race.
The dream is certainly there, though.
