Rangers’ Rıdvan Yılmaz is keen on joining Galatasaray in the winter market and is waiting for Philippe Clement’s side to give the green light.
On Sunday, Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu stated Rangers will hold another meeting with the Istanbul club for the left-back’s transfer.
Fanatik now provide the latest on Galatasaray’s efforts to take the 22-year-old away from Philippe Clement’s side.
The Turkish club will cut short RB Leipzig fullback Angeliño’s loan stay, to save money and also make room in the squad for the foreign quota. Kazımcan Karataş is the Spaniard’s back-up and hasn’t managed to impress so far.
Therefore, Galatasaray are looking to sign a left-back, and have identified the Rangers player and Sevilla’s Marcos Acuña as two targets. Their idea is to take the 32-year-old Argentine on loan, while the La Liga side are looking for a sale.
With regards to the Turkey international, it’s said a ‘lot of progress has been made’ in the negotiations to sign him.
It’s claimed Galatasaray have raised their offer to €3.5m, while Rangers have asked for a fee of €4.5m. Fanatik say they’ll ‘not increase the offer’ further and only if Philippe Clement’s side were to accept their proposal, can Yılmaz leave Ibrox.
