Even though Chelsea face a difficult task selling Romelu Lukaku this summer, it seems the situation is now getting better.
An update from Sky Sport in Italy today claims that AC Milan and Napoli are getting more intense in the chase for the centre-foward.
Relayed by CalcioNapoli24, the outlet claims that the Rossoneri have been in talks with Chelsea and the player’s entourage while trying to find a deal.
Napoli, however, still depend on the departure of Victor Osimhen. They’re waiting for potential buyers, and all those rumours about the Nigerian’s move to Stamford Bridge now seem gone.
Sky claim that Chelsea continue to demand €40m for Lukaku’s departure this summer, while they’re not keen on letting him move on another loan.
Milan are trying to negotiate for less, looking for ‘more advantageous conditions’ without reaching that price.
Napoli may have an advantage as they now have Antonio Conte in charge, and his relationship with Lukaku could help. Since the Rossoneri seem to be in more advanced talks with Chelsea, perhaps that saga won’t last that long.
