Over the past few months, despite being a regular starter at Arsenal, Gabriel Magalhaes continues to reportedly be a target for Juventus.
The Brazilian has established himself as a key man under Mikel Arteta, and with the Gunners top of the table with him and William Saliba in their defence, there is no reason for them to consider any kind of sale.
Despite this, and the fact Juventus aren’t exactly the richest club in the world these days, Gabriel continues to be mentioned as an option for the Serie A side.
It’s Gazzetta dello Sport who push the idea on Wednesday, claiming that despite the Italians focusing on Strahinja Pavlovic, currently are RB Salzburg, as a potential purchase for their defence, the Arsenal star remains an alternative.
It’s said that the Serbian is ‘not the only defender on the list’, and Juventus ‘also pay attention to’ the Brazilian, as well as Igor (Fiorentina), Evan Ndicka and Jake Kiwior.
All of those are affordable targets for them, except Gabriel, which is why we find it rather strange to include him in there, when it’s quite clear Arsenal will not be open to a sale.
With a contract at the Emirates until 2025 and him being an undisputed starter for Arteta, it seems Juventus can continue dreaming.
