On September 8th, we carried a report from Calciomercato, who stated that Leeds United are ‘on the trail’ of Red Bull Salzburg’s Noah Okafor.

After managing 14 goals and 11 assists during the last campaign, the forward has continued to excel for the Austrian champions this term, scoring eight goals and registering two assists in 18 matches.

The 22-year-old’s performances for his club have seen AC Milan take notice. They are in the market searching for a young striker.

This is according to Calciomercato, who explain the Serie A winners have included the Switzerland international in their target list for the coming windows. Leeds are also in the mix for him.

It’s said the Rossoneri are following the Salzburg star and there will be ‘stiff competition’ from Jesse Marsch’s side to sign him. That’s about the only piece of information the website mentions about Leeds.

Okafor mainly operates as a striker, but can be deployed in the wide positions. His deal with Red Bull Salzburg runs down in 2024. As well as him, Chelsea’s Armando Broja and Lille’s Jonathan David are included in Milan’s target list.
