As Tottenham Hotspur keep struggling to find Davinson Sanchez a new destination this summer, it now starts to sound like Daniel Levy may be demanding too much for this transfer.

An update on the defender’s situation is today brought by L’Equipe, with the French outlet claiming Rennes ‘do not let go’ of this pursuit.

It’s said that in recent hours, the likes of Galatasaray, PSV and Spartak Moscow have all been making approaches to take Sanchez from Tottenham, but with them all being unsuccessful, the Ligue 1 side still hold a chance.

According to L’Equipe, Rennes’ talks with Spurs are set to be ‘intense’. One of the reasons is the little time to find an agreement, and the other is the price set by Daniel Levy.

It’s said that the Tottenham president doesn’t want to let Sanchez leave for less than €20m, having already turned down an offer from Borussia Dortmund for a loan with an option to buy.

Rennes, however, are expecting to pay a lot less than that. They placed a €9m offer and shouldn’t go beyond €14m.

‘The dialogue continues’, says L’Equipe, making it clear Tottenham need to drop the price to have any chance of a sale.
