Emerson Palmieri arrived at Chelsea from AS Roma in Antonio Conte’s final transfer window at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri replaced Conte last season and the 25-year-old had to wait until the start of this year to become a regular under the former’s guidance.
Sarri left the Blues for Juventus in the summer and the west London club appointed Frank Lampard as his successor.
Having moved to Juventus, it’s reported Sarri has now set his sights on the Brazil-born Italy international and La Repubblica reported earlier this month the manager has ‘only requested’ the left-back in January.
To counter Juventus’ interest, Chelsea have come up with a plan to renew Emerson’s contract. The report states they have already tabled an extension offer as his current deal expires in 2022.
