Barcelona’s Mika Faye has ended up on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar, according to Sport.
The Blaugrana signed the 19-year-old from Croatian side NK Kustošija and has been part of their reserve team since then. He received his first call up from Senegal for this month’s international break.
At the same time, the centre-back has attracted interest from Tottenham and a few other clubs.
Spurs have been following the youngster for some time. Girona are very keen on signing him, while OGC Nice and RC Lens have held talks with his entourage.
The interest from Tottenham and others has pleased the La Liga side, and if needed, they could sell him for a decent price in the summer.
Barca already have several centre-backs in the squad and could sell Faye. They aren’t clear whether or not to include a buyback option, if they decide to cash in from his sale.
The Spanish giants see Faye as one of their ‘greatest assets’, and his latest call-up for Senegal will increase his valuation. Barca ‘rub their hands’, partly because the likes of Tottenham, Girona, Nice and Lens are in the picture to sign Faye.
There should be more developments on this case in the coming weeks and months.
