Last month, Takvim stated Galatasaray vice-president Erden Timur was expected to hold talks with Arsenal for Sacha Boey during his trip to London.
The Gunners sold Lucas Torreira to the Turkish club last summer and this deal has helped them maintain a good relationship with Timur.
This is highlighted again by Hürriyet, who add Arsenal have conveyed their desire to buy the 22-year-old when they met the chief in London two weeks ago.
Timur had informed Mikel Arteta’s side that many clubs are interested in the right-back and that a fee of €20m is needed to sanction his sale.
After meeting the chief in London, Arsenal carried out an evaluation and then made the ‘official offer of €14m’ to Galatasaray. There’s still €6m difference between supply and demand.
The report states Arsenal are ‘expected to increase’ their offer, without making it clear if they are ready to meet Galatasaray’s demands.
The Frenchman, for his part, wants to move to the Premier League. With all parties in favour of a transfer, Hürriyet add there’s a ‘high probability’ of Boey leaving Galatasaray in the summer.
