Ivan Ilić has returned to Manchester City following his successful loan spell at Hellas Verona last season.

The midfielder ended up with 29 league appearances under the orders of Ivan Jurić, and the Croatian coach has left the Serie A side and to take the managerial job at Torino.

Jurić’s presence at the Turin club has seen them look at the Cityzens owned player for next season.

This was reported by Torino Granata on Tuesday and they had also stated that Hellas Verona would find it ‘complicated’ to sign the 20-year-old on another loan deal this summer.

Sky Italia have now come up with a short report, focusing on Hellas Verona’s plan to sign the Serbia international.

It’s claimed there will be ‘new contacts’ between the Italian club and the Premier League winners to ‘talk about Ilić’.

Hellas Verona believe in the City man’s qualities and therefore, are ‘ready to make a big investment’ to secure Ilić’s services.

With a year left on his contract at the Etihad, Pep Guardiola’s side would be best looking to cash in from his sale rather than put together another loan and extending his contract in the process.
