Göztepe have reached a principle agreement with Oxford United midfielder Filip Krastev and are pushing for a move before their own deadline.
That’s according to journalist Orçun Akten. He reports on X that Krastev has an agreement on personal terms with the Oxford United number 10. There’s no mention of a deal being in place with Oxford for the time being.
The Turkish side will now, presumably, look to get that wrapped up as well. The fact they have an agreement in place with the midfielder means a major obstacle has been cleared.
Krastev is only on loan at Oxford at this moment in time. He joined from Lommel SK in the summer and was due to return to the Belgian side in the summer.
The 24-year-old has played regularly for Oxford this season but only featured in the starting 11 40% of the time. He’s also only featured in 38% of the available minutes in the league. He has one goal and one assist in 16 games in the Championship to date.
This loan deal is the latest in a long list of moves for him since joining Lommel in 2020. Oxford are the seventh he’s headed out on since that move in 2020.
Now Göztepe are pushing to get him and already have a principle agreement in place with the player. Focus will now, presumably, turn to working out a transfer agreement.
