Back in August, when Manchester United were still struggling to make big signings in the summer window, it was said they made a huge attempt to land João Félix from Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish media reported that the Red Devils had put €130m on the table to get the Portuguese star, and not interested in selling, the La Liga side turned that down.

Now, with Atletico Madrid having a quite disappointing elimination from the Champions League, outlet Cadena SER comes up with a story saying the club are in need of money.

That means some players have been put up for sale, but despite the past stories between Manchester United and João Felix, that summer bid is unlikely to be repeated.

Cadena SER points out that the 22-year-old is one of those ‘on the market’, and make it clear that the Red Devils ‘continue to be interested’ in his signing.

However, it’s claimed that Manchester United ‘won’t offer’ €125m again, meaning that even though the report says Felix’s departure from Atletico Madrid is becoming more likely, they will probably have to lower those demands to get a deal in the coming months.
