A couple of days ago, ESPN reported that Everton are interested in signing Fernando Llorente from Sevilla.
Soon, Spanish newspaper Marca explored the possibility, and it’s been rumoured for a while that Sevilla are looking to sell the player, who they signed from Juventus.
Sevilla’s board isn’t particularly pleased with the Spaniard’s performances, but new manager Jorge Sampaoli will have a final word on his future, and wants to assess the players within his squad.
It was reported Llorente is an alternative option to Graziano Pelle, who has moved to China. The latest reports in Spain suggest Everton haven’t made an approach for Llorente yet.
Sevilla’s president, Jose Castro, has revealed to Spanish website Eco Diario there have been no offers for Llorene yet.
He said:”There haven’t been any approaches for the player, if there are any we will study it.”
The 31-year-old signed from Juventus last summer on a free transfer, and had 7 goals and 5 assists to his name last season.
