Earlier on Tuesday, World Soccer Agency issued a statement confirming that they have unilaterally terminated their contract with West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca.
This would mean Alessandro Lucci is no longer the forward’s agent and the latter has to find a new representative.
The Italy international swapped Sassuolo for West Ham last summer and the move hasn’t gone well for him so far.
He has scored seven goals from 24 matches in all competitions this season out of which only three of them came in the league.
Scamacca has scored just once in the Premier League since mid-October, but this dip in form has not put off clubs in Italy as Napoli have him on their agenda for the summer, according to Rai Sport, relayed by Area Napoli.
Luciano Spalletti’s side have included the 24-year-old’s name in the list of striker targets who could replace Victor Osimhen, if the Nigeran were to leave the Serie A leaders after this season.
It’s claimed the West Ham player’s name is ‘under consideration’ at Napoli.
The Naples club could therefore provide Scamacca an escape route from West Ham, a year after joining them.
First, though, he’ll have to soon find a new agent if he wishes to get a move away from David Moyes’ side in the summer.
