Tottenham Hotspur have entered the mix to sign Álvaro Morata, as per reports coming out of Spain.
The striker is on loan at Juventus from Atlético Madrid and the Serie A side have an option to buy him after this season.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side are close to completing a deal for Fiorentina’s Dušan Vlahović and his impending arrival opens the door for the Spain international to leave the Old Lady.
Barcelona have come forward to take the Atlético owned player in January. El Partidazo de COPE journalist Juanma Castaño says the negotiations between Diego Simeone’s side and the Catalan club are ongoing.
The details of the proposal have not been mentioned.
According to Castaño, Barcelona want to take Morata on a loan deal, but Atlético will only let him move to the Camp Nou, if there’s a sale. The Spanish champions would only agree to loan the frontman to Tottenham or another English club.
The journalist explains that Friday ‘will be the key day to find out the future’ of Morata. If he moves to London, the frontman will reunite with his former coach, Antonio Conte, at Tottenham.
