Club now in transfer talks with Sheffield United over player – Already contacted agent

There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce have stepped up their pursuit of Sheffield United midfielder Vinicius Souza.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to the Istanbul club in recent days as Jose Mourinho looks to improve his options.

Fotomac today report on the latest developments regarding Fenerbahce’s interest in the player and they say they are now in transfer talks with Sheffield United with regards to signing him before their window closes next month.

The Turkish media outlet also report they are still in talks with Souza’s agent, but as yet an official offer hasn’t come in from the Yellow Canaries.

Yesterday we covered reports from the Turkish press that Fener had made initial steps for Souza after they contracted his agent. Throughout the summer, Mourinho has been keen to improve his midfield and there’s been endless targets.

Souza made 38 appearances for Sheffield United last season, scoring one goal. He’s contracted to the Blades until June 2027 after arriving at Bramall Lane last summer.
