Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has been regularly linked to Bayern Munich since last summer.
The Bavarian club’s initial idea was to sign him in 2023 but their plans could have changed after extending Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s deal until 2024.
Kane’s deal expires in 2024 and Bild stated recently they could convince the striker to run down his contract at Tottenham and join them for free next year.
The Bavarian club have already started plans for the next window and that’s highlighted in this week’s edition of SportBild. The majority of the report focuses on whether to sell both Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry or hand them new deals.
It’s further claimed the Bundesliga winners are not planning to invest big in the summer. This means an approach for the Tottenham man would be ruled out.
The situation could change if Bayern manage to sell both Sané and Gnabry for around €135m. With this, they would be in a position to bid for the England international.
As it stands, Bayern ‘have not yet become active’ to sign Kane. In addition to this, the Bundesliga side doubt whether the 29-year-old wants to leave Tottenham, and England generally.
The German slant on Kane’s potential Tottenham exit is far less optimistic than it once was.
