Fiorentina are not ‘scared’ by Arsenal sniffing around youngster Michael Kayode, despite increasing belief the Gunners could make a move for him.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say the player has ‘won over admirers’ and Arsenal are one of them.
The newspaper explains that the 19-year-old is winning people over quickly in Florence after making his debut in Serie A and the Conference League, which have both won him applause and admirers.
He has impressed with his personality, athletic dominance and quality, and questions are now being asked about how far he could go.
The winger is showing all the signs of being a top talent for the future, and has the confidence to go with it, and that’s not gone unnoticed by other clubs.
Arsenal are one of the ones showing attention and recently had a scout in the stands to watch him, alongside Italy coach Luciano Spalletti.
Fiorentina are not ‘scared’ by that as they have the player tied down until 2025 with the option of another year. Despite that they’re looking to sit down with him and change that, offering a pay upgrade and extension by another couple of seasons.
They believe the ambitious project at the club, and the fact the player is fully involved in it, can convince him to stay and move him away from any temptations that may come from the likes of Arsenal.
