The man of the moment in Burnley these days, Datro Fofana was initially meant to be heading to Sevilla from Chelsea before his move to Turf Moor.
However, because the Blues had already sent so many players on loan abroad, that deal was unable to take place, which is why he stayed in England for his next temporary spell.
Despite this, he will be returning to Chelsea at the end of the season, at which point Sevilla could get another chance at signing him, which Estadio Deportivo suggest might happen.
That’s because the LaLiga side are ‘keeping an eye on him’, knowing that he will be heading back to Stamford Bridge, where a decision about his future will need to be made.
They add his performances at Burnley ‘do not go unnoticed’, especially when that will be a position of need at Sevilla next year, since Rafa Mir wants to leave and Youssef En-Nesyri might finally be granted a transfer.
This could leave the club with Mariano and Isaac Romero, which is why they do not ‘lose track’ of the Chelsea loanee.
One to keep an eye on in the coming months as Victor Orta starts planning next season.
