Sabah have today reported on the future of West Bromwich Albion defender Cedric Kipre, and they claim Trabzonspor are looking to sign the 27-year-old.
Kipre will become a free agent at the end of the month when his contract with West Brom expires.
According to Sabah, Trabzonspor are already in transfer talks with Kipre and are negotiating hard to sign the central defender. Talks are reportedly at an advanced stage, and something could happen this week.
Kipre is said to be keen on a transfer to the Turkish side after four seasons at the Hawthorns. The player spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Cardiff City.
It’s also reported by Turkish media outlet Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avcı is an admirer of Kipre and subsequently he wants his club board to get a deal done.
Avci is looking to add to his squad this summer and he also wants to bring in Southampton forward Paul Onuachu following his successfull loan spell with the club last season.
Kipre made 46 appearances for the Baggies last season, scoring 2 goals.
