According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas are showing interest in Rangers defender Rıdvan Yılmaz, who could be set for a move away from Ibrox this summer.

Despite being a regular under Philippe Clement he could return to his home country after his disappointment of not making the Turkish squad for this summer’s Euros.

Sabah have claimed the Rangers defender is on Besiktas’ agenda as it’s expected Arthur Masuaku will leave the Turkish side this summer. The player is currently in talks with Ligue 1 side Nantes.

Subsequently, Sabah report Besiktas have now made contact regrading re-signing Yilmaz and that the 23-year-old will this time say yes to the move. The Rangers man has previously been linked with a move back to the Black Eagles, but he wanted to remain at Ibrox. There are no reports of any offer being tabled.

Yilmaz made 32 appearances for Rangers last season, scoring 2 goals. He’s contracted to the Scottish club until June 2027 after joining them from Besiktas in 2022.
