Fenerbahçe are closing in on a deal for Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma, hoping to sign off a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

That’s according to Fanatik, who report that Fenerbahçe are ‘nearing the end’ of what would be a big transfer deal for them.

They report that Fenerbahçe have made an offer for the 28-year-old and have been working on the move for some time as they look to reinforce their midfielder this summer.

‘Significant progress’ has been made on the potential deal, with Bissouma the first name on their list. The hope is that they can convince Tottenham to sanction a loan deal with an obligation. They did a similar deal with Fiorentina for Sofyan Amrabat last summer. He is now being signed for €12m.

Tottenham’s primary goal is to sell Bissouma this summer, but it’s believed that they would be open to loan deal due to the mandatory option included. Negotiations between the two clubs are now at an ‘advanced level’ and the purchase value is now being discussed.

According to Fanatik, Bissouma is currently valued at around €25m but the midfielder’s price would be lower given he only has a year left on his contract with Tottenham.

Either way, the feeling in Turkey is that there is a deal there to be done and, crucially, Bissouma has already reached agreement on various issues in direct negotiations with Fenerbahçe.
