Real Sociedad maintain a ‘fluid relationship’ with the agent representing Tottenham’s Bryan Gil, meaning a loan deal would not be hard to do.
That’s according to El Diario Vasco, who are local to La Real, who say agent Amadeo Rengel has a positive relationship with the Spanish side that could facilitate a move.
They explain Real Sociedad were interested in loaning Gil from Tottenham two years ago after they lost Ander Barrenextea to an injury.
A deal was there to be done but the player instead decided to move to Valencia, believing they were a better option for him as he understood there would be less competition.
Reports in Spain are now linking them with a move again, with it explained earlier today that he is one of the alternatives on their list as they look to bolster their options this month.
That’s all come about because Gil still seemingly can’t find a place for himself at Tottenham, where the arrival of Timo Werner has added more competition for places up front.
He finds himself in a similar situation to the last two years, in that he is ‘wanting a change of scenery’ and another return to Spain could be on the cards.
Real Sociedad have been put in the mix and El Diario Vasco explain that if they move, they could be aided by their ‘fluid relationship’ with Amadeo Rengel.
He’s the man who represents David Silva and also took Rubén Pardo to the club in the past, so if La Real want to push for Gil, they ‘would not have any major problems’.
At the minute it does not appear they will do so as Gil is considered similar to what they already have, and they want to sign the opposite to freshen up their options.
But the Tottenham man is on a list nonetheless and their relationship with his agent could make a deal easy to do if other targets prove unobtainable.
