Despite the transfer window now being shut in England, there are some countries where deals can still be made, such as Turkey, where Trabzonspor are trying to sign Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest.

The news comes from Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who took to X, formerly Twitter, to reveal the news about the Süper Lig side’s attempt.

He says that Trabzonspor have made an ‘official offer’ of €4m for the centre-back, who could be the second player to depart for Turkey from Nottingham Forest after Serge Aurier’s expected move to Galatasaray.

Yağız Sabuncuoğlu explains that the Turkish team have ‘reached an agreement’ with Worrall himself, meaning he is clearly open to the move.

What needs to be sorted is the fee between the two clubs, and ‘negotiations continue’ for something to take place in the coming days.

The Turkish window shuts on February 9th, meaning there is still time to get that done, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Trabzonspor wanted this done sooner rather than later.

Worrall has only been used in sporadic spells this season, totalling nine appearances in all competitions, spread over 545 minutes of football.
