This morning, we’ve seen Italian newspaper Il Tempo claiming this is the time for Roma to make a new attempt for the signing of Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.
It was said that after having a €15m bid turned down, the Giallorossi should soon make a second offer by putting a little more money on the table.
Now, website Calciomercato brings a new story on the situation, they claim the Serie A side are actually close on finding a deal for the 28-year-old.
The outlet writes that with Arsenal demanding €20m, Roma are now offering €15m plus €2.5m of ‘easy bonuses’.
It’s worth pointing out a second offer is also being pushed by TuttoMercatoWeb, via their journalist Marco Conterio.
Calciomercato recall the positive response from the player was given a month ago, with Roma offering him a four-year contract worth €2.5m per season, and he’s pretty excited to work with José Mourinho.
Now the transfer is said to depend on ‘details’ as Xhaka waits for the ever elusive white smoke.
