Just a couple of days ago, we covered some reports that Besiktas had come forward to try and sign Jorginho from Arsenal.

The midfielder has been struggling to get minutes under his belt with Mikel Arteta in charge despite the Spaniard being the one who wanted him, and that has led to talk of an exit in January ahead of this summer’s Euros.

However, Besiktas are not the only club to have tried to sign the Arsenal player, as Trabzonspor gave it a go, according to Hasan Tuncel for Sports Digitale, who posted the news on X, formerly Twitter.

The reporter gave some news about the various deals the Süper Lig club could be trying to do, and he brings forward the approach for the Gunners player.

It’s explained that Trabzonspor ‘made contact’ for Jorginho, but the Italy international ‘did not accept’ the idea of moving to the club.

Therefore, despite needing minutes, it appears the former Napoli and Chelsea star wants to ensure he ends up in a team of better standard than Trabzonspor, or he will instead stay at Arsenal for the foreseeable future.
