German side Freiburg are ‘once again looking’ at Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva having tried to sign him in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to SportBILD and Fussball Transfers, who cover the potential move from the Bundesliga side today.
The former covers the club’s interest in the striker, explaining that Freiburg are not expecting to be busy in the winter window.
They explain that the club are waiting for their next reward in terms of income, as a win against West Ham this week could see them pocket another €2.93m income as they’d secure first place in their Europa League group and entry into the last eight.
SportBILD explain they are eyeing a midfielder while Wolves youngster Silva is ‘in mind’ for the attack. That is all they have to say on the matter.
Fussball Transfers elaborate a little bit more, explaining that Freiburg were also keen on Silva in the summer and ‘would have been only too happy’ to take him but he preferred to remain at Wolves.
However, ‘the omens are playing into the Bundesliga’s club’s hands’ as the striker has only managed 262 minutes in eight league appearances this season and hasn’t featured for Wolves since the beginning of November.
That’s disappointing for a player who excelled out on loan last season and another loan could be sanctioned in January as a result, something Freiburg would be happy to jump into.
