It appears that Atalanta could be ready to gift Tottenham a player this January if the London club were to come forward for Ruslan Malinovskyi.
The Ukraine international has found himself pushed to one side at the Serie A side since before the summer, when various clubs were interested in his services.
Tottenham were among those, with Spurs also being the midfielder’s preference, but a deal was never struck, and Antonio Conte was left without the reinforcement he wanted.
Things could change in January, however, as Gazzetta dello Sport explain Atalanta are looking to reduce their squad size a bit.
Various member of the team could be sold, and it’s added that Malinovskyi, Jérémie Bona and Duvan Zapata ‘are also potentially outgoing’.
Focusing on the Ukrainian, they explain he ‘has offers in the Premier League’, recalling that his performance on Sunday against Inter was below par after he was brought on to replace Giorgio Scalvini.
Therefore, Malinovskyi didn’t exactly do much to change Atalanta’s mind, which could lead them to accept decent offers for the player if they were to come forward.
It remains to be seen if Tottenham do put in an offer, but it appears that if they did, they would be almost welcomed with open arms.
