According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce are showing an interest in Leicester City forward Islam Slimani, and are ready to make an offer for the Algeria international.
The Yellow Canaries are keen to bring in a forward or two before next month’s deadline, and are also in talks to re-sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen say Takvim.
It’s been claimed by Takvim that Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has made initial steps to sign Slimani and that the Turkish club will ask Leicester City to loan the player to them for a season.
Since arriving at Leicester City, Slimani has struggled to get games and last season he spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Newcastle United.
With Roberto Soldado sidelined with injury, Comolli is keen to bring in attacking reinforcements and it seems Sliamni and Tottenham’s Janssen are options.
Earlier this week it was reported Fernerbahce are close to securing a loan deal for Janssen and that the Tottenham player will head to Istanbul for another season.
