Feyenoord are eyeing up Sparta Prague’s Asger Sörensen in case a late deal is struck with Aston Villa for Lutsharel Geertruida.
That’s according to 1908.nl, who say the Dutch side are very wary of losing their man before the end of the transfer window.
Reports throughout this week have indicated that Aston Villa are eyeing up a late move for the defender. They need to move a player on first, but their interest is there and they could move.
The belief is that a move could become concrete quickly and it seems Feyenoord think so too as they’re already preparing for a departure.
According to 1908, the Dutch side have inquired about Sörensen and what the terms of a transfer for him could be.
They have a good relationship with his club Sparta Prague after signing defender Dávid Hancko and head coach Brian Priske from them in recent years. That could help a deal to move along quickly.
It all depends on Gertruida, who Aston Villa may move for concretely if they can move someone else out of the squad first. Feyenoord certainly fear that happening and are planning so that they are not caught out at the end of the window.
