On January 15th, La Stampa reported Leicester City’s Dennis Praet is waiting for a call from Torino, to leave the King Power Stadium in the winter market.
It’s not clear whether he’s received that call from the Serie A side, but another club have made an approach for him.
That’s according to La Dernière Heure, who state Royal Antwerp have made enquiries with the Leicester player, to find out if it’s possible to secure his services this month.
Royal Antwerp’s Arthur Vermeeren is set to make a switch to Atlético Madrid and this has seen them consider replacing him with Praet.
Enzo Maresca has left the 29-year-old out of the squad on most occasions this season, and the Belgium international has made five league appearances and was an unused substitute in another three.
The Jupiler Pro League side are now considering opening their door for the midfielder this month. Praet has less than six months left on his contract and Royal Antwerp believe they can take him away from Leicester for a ‘reduced amount’.
A move to Royal Antwerp could help the player feature regularly and it may improve his chances of representing Belgium at the Euros next summer.
