Earlier today, we covered claims made by Tipsbladet that Ajax and Manchester United ‘want’ FC Nordsjælland’s Kamaldeen Sulemana.

The 19-year-old revealed his desire to ‘play for a good club’ and also admitted he’s aware of the Dutch club’s interest in him

Ajax took Sulemana’s former teammate Mohammed Kudus last summer and they now have their eyes set on the versatile forward, who can operate on either wing.

Apart from Erik ten Hag’s side and the Red Devils, Bayer Leverkusen and Club Brugge also have an interest in the Ghana international.

That’s according to De Telegraaf, who say Ajax ‘hope to beat’ competitors like Manchester United, with their interest covered again, for Sulemana.

Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars, along with head scout Henk Veldmate travelled to Denmark to watch the attacker in action against FC Copenhagen. Nordsjælland’s latest tie ended in a 2-2 draw and the player got his name on the scoresheet.

In their efforts to beat competition from elsewhere and convince him a move to Amsterdam is the best step for his career, the Eredivisie side have held discussions with the player in the past few days.

Sulemana is valued around €6-8m, and with several clubs interested in signing him, it’ll be interesting to see which club can convince him to join them in the summer.
