New updates from the Italian media continue to say that Milan keep working on the signing of Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
It’s now Sky Italia who claims the Rossoneri held a new meeting with the player’s entourage, and there’s now a little more confidence that the move can happen.
The talks with the agents are said to be ‘positive’ as Milan work on a ‘definite agreement’ to land the 27-year-old.
Bakayoko would join Milan on a new loan deal, with an option for a permanent move, with the player now ‘getting closer’ to returning to Milan two years or so after his successful move there.
Even though the midfielder’s contract with Chelsea only runs until 2022, the Blues have an option to extend it for a further year, and that’s said to have been triggered already.
CalcioMercato.it is another outlet with a report about the meeting. They say the agreement is now ‘very close’ and the coming hours will be crucial for the deal.
This morning, Italian newspapers Gazzetta Dello Sport and Corriere Dello Sport had already reported that the meeting would take place today.
Both parts are said to be eager to reach an agreement for Bakayoko’s comeback to the club, and when that’s the case, everyone tends to get their wish.
