On December 19th, Bild reported West Ham United defender Thilo Kehrer is set to arrive at Eintracht Frankfurt on a loan deal. It was also suggested the deal seemed close to being concluded in the winter market.
The centre-back has seen his game time limited this season as he’s made 12 appearances and it includes 19 minutes of action from four league games.
Kehrer’s situation at West Ham has resulted in reports linking him to other clubs and the Bundesliga side are included in the list.
A latest report from Bild now states Eintracht Frankfurt have ‘little hope’ of signing the 27-year-old next month.
It’s claimed David Moyes’ side aren’t willing to offer any discounts to sanction a move for the Germany international. This is the first reason, and the second one is related to his salary.
According to Bild, the defender earns €7m per year at West Ham and doesn’t want to take a pay cut to join another club.
Three days ago, we relayed news from Italy that Kehrer could leave West Ham in January and the likes of AC Milan, Atalanta and AS Roma are expected to battle it out for his signature.
