As Kepa Arrizabalaga edges closer to a move away from Chelsea, Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web today shares the latest news on the goalkeeper’s departure.
The website writes there’s ‘great confidence’ from Napoli on the possibility of signing the 28-year-old ‘in the coming days’.
It’s said the Serie A side want Kepa on a loan deal, and there’s already an agreement regarding his salary, of which 70% will continue being paid by Chelsea.
The clubs are now said to be discussing the bonuses paid by Napoli depending on the player’s number of appearances. Those seem to be the final details being negotiated.
The Spaniard only made 15 appearances for Chelsea last season, and now goes out in search of more playing time. His contract with the Blues runs until 2025, so there’s plenty of time for him to return to Stamford Bridge.
Kepa’s arrival at Napoli is set to have some big impact in their squad, since he’s expected to be a regular starter and that will decrease the chances of Alex Meret, who’ll be encouraged to leave with the club demanding €15m from his sale.
