Feyenoord are on the verge of completing a deal with Brighton and Hove Albion for midfielder Jakub Moder.
That’s according to Eindhovens Dagblad, who report the Dutch side will sign Moder in a €1.5m deal.
According to their information, Feyenoord have almost acquired Moder. He is on the verge of being officially signed and the Rotterdam club are working on the final details today.
That will see them pay €1.5m to Brighton for the Polish international to sign him this month. Moder, though, will only be in the match squad for the first time in early February. It is likely that will be for the game against Ajax.
That is because he will be unavailable for the Champions League clashes with Bayern Munich and Lille. He is not registered in their squad for that competition and changes cannot be made.
The Dutch club have targeted the 25-year-old to allow manager Brian Priske more options in midfield. They’ve been dealing injuries to both Quinten Timber and Hwang In-Beom in recent weeks.
Moder had been out of contract at Brighton in the summer and it seems Brighton have decided to let him go now for a small fee rather than for nothing later this year.
