Greuther Fürth are working on a loan deal for Chelsea defender Malang Sarr before tonight’s deadline.
That’s according to FussballTransfers, who say the defender could be the third arrival on deadline day.
According to their information, they will ‘possibly present’ the Chelsea defender at some point today, with him very much a candidate for a move to the Kleeblatt.
The central defender, who can also play at left-back, would arrive on loan at the German club as a replacement for Gideon Jung, who is set for a ‘long-term absence’.
Sarr arrived at Chelsea on a free transfer from Nice in August last year and has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2025.
He spent last season on loan at Porto and made 19 appearances in all competitions for them across the campaign.
He is not a part of the plans at Chelsea this season, though, and it seems Greuther Fürth are now looking to take advantage of that and secure him on loan this season.
