According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce are very close to signing Huddersfield Town defender Zanka.

The player has been strongly linked with a move to the Turkish side in recent weeks and Haber Global’s Fenerbahce journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu today claims the Yellow Canaries have agreed personal terms with the Denmark international.

Sabuncuoglu also reports Fenerbahce are in the ‘final stages’ of negotiations with Huddersfield Town, with claims both clubs are currently discussing the payment plan and other formalities.

Earlier today we covered claims from the Turkish media that Fenerbahce are looking to move in on Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu as the Super Lig side look to strengthen their squad before the start of the new season.

Fener have struggled defensively during preseason and in the last two games they’ve shipped eleven goals.

The 29 year old still has one year left on his current contract with the Terriers but he’s expected to leave the club this summer following Huddersfield Town’s relegation to the Championship.
