Watford striker Cucho Hernandez is a potential target for Granada this summer, with them also looking at Wolverhampton Wanderers Rafa Mir.

That’s according to Onda Cero, who cover the transfer situation at the Spanish club this summer and their plans to improve the squad.

They explain that new coach Robert Moreno is not planning to have a big squad at his disposal as they will not be playing European football.

With that in mind, is appears as if there will not be many incomings, something also influenced by the ‘economic limitations’ the Spanish FA have put on clubs in the post-COVID world.

Spanish clubs are suffering ‘serious consequences’ because of the virus, and as such, funds are tight, and there is a desire to be careful when it comes to transfers.

Nonetheless, additions are needed, and the club are looking to add a goalkeeper, a center-back and a center-forward.

Targets for all three have already been identified, and two of them for the latter currently reside at Watford and Wolves, respectively.

According to Onda Cero’s information, they’re keen on both Cucho Hernandez and Rafa Mir, who both spent last season on loan in Spain.

Now there’s no mention of a move at this moment in time, or even contact, just that both players are on the list of potential reinforcements.

Of the two, Mir is likely to be easier to get, given Wolves are keen on a sale this summer, although it remains to be seen what Watford do with Hernandez.

He’s back at Vicarage Road after their promotion, but it’s yet to be made clear if they plan to use him or loan him out again.

If it’s the latter or a sale, it seems Granada would be keen.
